Yes, the 130 Youth fits bigger boots than the 139. It runs a wider waist.
A flat base keeps the edge in full contact with the snow for locked-in grip. Our 3D Edge lifts the steel edge a hair above the snow, for a looser, more forgiving, catch-free feel that rides a little surfier. On models that offer both, the price is the same and you pick at checkout.

The first board I had used for several seasons was a hand-me-down. So when I went to buy my first, I wanted one that truly reflectid who i was, a metal-head. So the selection of these is what I was looking for for sure. So very much love my board!!!

The Oscar the Grouch snowboard from Gilson is an interesting concept - a 149mm that works or feels like a 155mm board? The board leans towards a fun, softer flex, but so far seems to be ok in all mountain conditions. Haven’t had the chance to try it in any super deep pow but I don’t think that is what it was designed for.
The only reason I got another one of their freestyle cambers is because I rode my last one to shreds🔥 It's my second board from Gilson, and I couldn't be happier! I'm obsessed with butters and flat tricks, and this board is perfect for it! It also jibs, grinds, pops, and jumps effortlessly, making every ride feel like a blessing. Surprisingly it also carves very well! I have the 3D edge, and I feel like a jet fighter pilot deciding when to engage the edge to carve or not, depending on the maneuver that I want to do, and the board always follows. So if think the 3D edge is going to get in the way of carving, it won't, you still have all the control of your ride. You do have to give your back leg some love if you want it to float on powder, but it's good enough for a powder day once or twice a month like I have it. It's not a powder surfer, so don't expect it to act like one. But every single other point that's marketed on Gilson's page it does phenomenally well. And I keep getting complimented on the graphic too. Also the team at Gilson are very responsive and ready to help you out with absolutely any question you might have. All you should worry about is which graphic to get because they have too many cool ones! Do your research and try out your friends' boards to understand what board shape fits you (camber, rocker, etc) and buy yourself a Gilson, you won't regret it.
No hyperbole: I wish I could attach a video still to show how much abusive flex this board withstands. Bought for my son for Xmas last season and he's actually spent time researching the potential effects of el nino bc he simply can't wait to get back on it. He adores it. Genuinely bummed it's still 60° in November bc it's delaying snowmaking. He's an odd one and picked this board out of the blue (to me). He couldn't be happier with it and he doesn't joke around with the thing. I really dug he went with a craft-level co and my anecdote is they made a peach. 5 stars
Need to have more threaded inserts for a closer stance. If it weren't for the wide stance it would have been a perfect board
I love the 3D edge, its forgiving and look at the artwork! Im my style all day. Ive also got a Bounty hunter Ronin, and i Love that board! Its killer ride in any condition even icy. I honestly dont know why people h8 on the 3D edges. If you eat chit it rider error not the edge. Tell K8 I said Whats up!
