The Bounty Hunter is a sweet full camber board, best for people who like to charge steep terrain, variable conditions, and all mountain freestyle. Notably less flex that the Gilson Duel or Undead, but insane pop and good edge hold. I love that it's a true twin as someone who like to throw 180s and ride switch. Also the graphics are so beautiful!

TL/DR -- Love the company ethos and designs. Loved riding the 3D base, but didn't dig waxing the 3D base. Good quality craftmanship, and I can't wait to ride my new Gilson this season! I (35m) first encountered Gilson boards in 2015 at Crested Butte when I lived in Colorado. I tried out the Pioneer and immediately dug the buttery feel of the raised base design. I rode that board many years and I really loved it. Despite all the hate the 3D base gets I thought it was a lot of fun. However, getting a good wax seemed challenging. I live in AK now and there are not a ton of boarders here, and I assume even fewer boarders with a 3D base. A lot of people ski. I have always taken my board in to get waxed, but I have transitioned this past winter to doing my own waxing. It is pretty simple and an enjoyable way to take care of your own skis and boards. As I am still an amateur at the art of waxing, I found the raised base to be a pain to wax properly. There is a nice tutorial about waxing Gilson boards with the raised base online, and if I were an expert it probably wouldn't be a problem. That said, I always felt that ski shops left a little to be desired with their jobs as well. That said, I still very much love this company and its products. I really enjoy the artwork, designs, responsive/personal customer experience, and the hardiness of their products. I consider myself a slightly above average rider, and I ride pretty hard sometimes. The Pioneer board is still in great shape and I would proudly take it out any day. This year I purchased a Bounty Hunter board and some bindings via the early bird bundle. I opted for the flat base as I'd like to improve my own waxing abilities with an easier canvas before taking on more challenging items. The ordering process was a little hectic, but was understandable coming from a small business. In addition, they were super responsive which made up for any minor frustrations. It took a little longer getting my items than we ALL may be accustomed to these days, but the staff was helpful and responsive. I can't wait to try out the new ride. I really like this company. Aside from the sweet artwork and general good vibes, I think this company makes a really nice product.

Gilson is AWESOME! The raised edges on my duel took some getting used to, but once it clicked for me how to "surf" this became my go to board and I have so much fun with it! I also bought the new Bounty hunter, which is really stiff but is perfect for heavy powder in back bowls. You won't be disappointed!

Great company Great quality snowboards I currently ride a Bounty Hunter with the Roswell graphics Flat bottom 157 Traditional camber with a medium flex It’s a carving machine Easy to manipulate Good in the park Although I only do boxes and small jumps It’s a great quality board that I’m sure will last me for a very long time

I originally ordered a Homebrew for myself but because of my disability; BKA amputee, I found it difficult to ride. Mind you be been riding a traditional camber board since 1988 so my muscle memory is based around that very traditional shape I never ride a Hybrid board before my injury and subsequent amputation so I didn’t develop that style of riding. Not to let a perfectly good board go to waste I handed it over to my wife l; who’s also been riding for decades, to see what she thought of it. She seems to love it though it did take about half a day of riding and a half dozen or adjustments to find that perfect stance, but that’s to be expected, we’re older riders and it takes a while to readjust. One of the things that caught her attention right away was how easy it was to do flat land tricks. We’re too old for the pipe and parks but flat spins are on the menu and they were super easy pull off on this board. She had tons of fun doing tricks that took way more effort on a flat base. That butter lip is the bomb and after some getting use to is just a blast to ride. So now for the only thing she didn’t like. She found it difficult to free carve, the board was a bit to soft to keep up with me in morning corduroy my ancient super stiff K2 Stencil. She also had some issues traversing hard packed icy off camber cat tracks on her heel side. At one point she just popped it off and walked. Honestly I don’t know if that was really an issue with the board, or her binding set up. Like all things choosing a board is a compromise, there is no one single deck that can do all things well. It’s either going to be great in powder and shite in the park. It’s either going to be buttery and easy to do flat land tricks or carve lines down 55° slopes with confidence. Our takeaway on the Homebrew is it’s a fun all mountain board that can handle an east coast powder day and be a blast throwing town flat land spins. It’s fun very light weight and nimble, soft enough to hit the park but stiff enough to pilot through the trees. If you see the world through the lens of a street skater and want to pull off buttery smooth grinds and flat land tricks you everywhere then this is the board for you.

Absolutely love Gilson. I got the Gilson Bounty Hunter 3D edge with the Ronin Graphic. It’s a stunning board and rides super well. I put about 20 days on it this season and have had no issues. Compared to boards I’ve ridden in the past, this board is more stiff than others. The bounty hunter is a great board especially at higher speeds. It definitely likes power and gives a good pop. The true camber and twin is really nice. Allows for a lot of versatility on the mountain. The 3D edge might not look like a lot in person, but you can definitely feel it on the mountain. It takes a little bit longer to activate your edges, something some might like, some not so much. I personally like it and haven’t had an issue with edge control at all. Overall, the board is great and worth looking into.

I have several Gilson Boards. I’m most excited about my new 162 Ronin Bounty Hunter. I unboxed today and wow…what a sick board. Headed to the mountain to ride tomorrow. I appreciate Gilson dedication to innovation, art and craftsmanship. Won’t be my last board.

I just recently joined into the Bounty Hunt with this company and am excited to get my Bounty Hunter out on the snow next season! I'll update this after it's first day on the mountain! Thank you to Gilson Snow for the opportunity to be a part of this! UPDATE: I've taken my board out a few times now. It is an absolute pleasure to ride. The 3D edge, I believe, is more beginner friendly and would be a fantastic way to teach someone to board. The turns are much longer and it is not as easy to carve on the 3D base. I am, however, thoroughly impressed by the difference that a few millimeters of edge float makes. I have not caught an edge on my Bounty Hunter, and am proud to say that it is a favorite of mine! Thank you again to Gilson Snow for the opportunity to partake in the Bounty Hunt!

Had 2 gilsons already decided to join the bounty hunt and try the flat base I enjoyed it highly recommend but I still love the surfy feel of my 3d base 10/10 would recommend either style

Just got my bounty hunter ronin board and d**m this board is sick. The edges and detail is outrageous. In love. I wish I could post an imagine with my review cause pairing them with union force classic binding in white make it pop. Plan on hitting northern North Carolina a good bit in February and can’t wait to see how this board does compared to my old flow board.

I’ve been out on my Bounty Hunter several times now this season and it’s so fun!!! I opted to go with a flat base as it’s been years since I rode one. It definitely felt odd going back to a flat base but everything is fell into place. (It’s like riding a bike, you never forget) I will continue to ride it out this season and to keep getting collecting those Bounties. Keep up the great work!!! If you don’t have a GILSON, it’s time to strap one up!!

The Bounty Hunter is by far my favorite board in the quiver. Playful and poppy but a true all mountain that will allow you to cruise with confidence. I love that Gilson is a home grown ski and snowboard company rooted in my home state of PA. Even better, they promote individuality and creativity rather than mass production. Each board/ski design is unique and highlights the artists' work. All skis and snowboards are inspected by a member of the crew ensuring top quality with a 5-year guarantee to go with it. If you have an issue or question, Gilson's customer service is top tier, getting back to you quickly and with a friendly response. I highly recommend you check them out. Happy Shredding!

I got the 162 wide at 5’11 170 lbs and it is the best decision I ever made. Board is so flowy perfect flex weather I want to go to the park or if I just wanna rip down some groomers. The 3d base makes it feel like I’m surfing on the snow and can butter with ease with an insane amount of pop. All round quality built board I love it.

I was really hoping it rode as good as it looked and... hell yeah it does! I love traditional cambers with medium to soft flex and this has the perfect balance. Great performance all around! It's definitely going to be my new Go-To board for years to come!

Excellent board! I got a 162W and noticed how much stiffer is than the Gilson Undead. The full camber loads tones of pop and the 3D base give that catch free playfulness feel. I’m stoked to join the bounty hunt!

I have made it my mission to ride as many types of park skis as I can and when it comes to durability and performance nothing outclassed gilson. Very light and playful while remaining strong and sturdy. Super easy to control and you can rely on them to do everything you want out of your park ski. Definitely my favorite pair of skis I'll be riding them til I'm old. I recently bought one of their snowboards even though I have only snowboarded twice. Super excited to try it out. I started using the bounty hunter and i love it, it is sturdy and responsive, and the 3d base has kept me from catching an edge. gilson is the most awesome team with the best customer support and coolest products! I 10000% recommend getting a board or pair of skis from them to try out! You won’t regret it

Nuthing but 5 Stars here!!! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed becoming a Gilson Crew member! When you get texts from a small company owner….. that’s shows gratitude and speaks volumes as to how much these guys/gurlz want to grow this sport! Quality is second to none when it comes to Gilson Snow. We’ve had a few boards over the years and I love watching how companies grow and his product gets better! My Ronin 157 is dormant for now! Just waiting to heed the call of the mountains! If you havent gotten on the Gilson train…… it’s time to hop on!!!!

Wish you could leave partial stars. Four is a little low. The board spent very little time in the shipping process ..very quick. The board itself feels well made. Love the design. I've only managed one day on it (Snowshoe in WV), and it is indeed different from other boards I've ridden. Very loose and playful, almost to a fault at times. It definitely seems to favor riding on the elevated section of the base (I call it the plateau). Once on edge though, it's there. I definitely want more time on it to get used to it. I don't regret adding it to the quiver.

The guys at Gilson literally got everything back up and running for a custom Fly powder deck and rushed shipping just to get it to me right before a 5ft storm! Board reminds me of surfing growing up in SoCal, super surfy and honestly one of the most fun boards I’ve ever ridden! I got onto my first Gilson from a recommendation from a friend after ripping the rail out of a Burton board. Gilson’s are so durable and fun to ride it’s stupid! My Duel is on its 4th 100 day season and it’s still going strong! As a guy that rides a lot and has been on a ton of different equipment I can stand behind the fact that I always end up on a Gilson deck for a reason! These boards are the best I’ve found!
