I originally ordered a Homebrew for myself but because of my disability; BKA amputee, I found it difficult to ride. Mind you be been riding a traditional camber board since 1988 so my muscle memory is based around that very traditional shape I never ride a Hybrid board before my injury and subsequent amputation so I didn’t develop that style of riding. Not to let a perfectly good board go to waste I handed it over to my wife l; who’s also been riding for decades, to see what she thought of it. She seems to love it though it did take about half a day of riding and a half dozen or adjustments to find that perfect stance, but that’s to be expected, we’re older riders and it takes a while to readjust. One of the things that caught her attention right away was how easy it was to do flat land tricks. We’re too old for the pipe and parks but flat spins are on the menu and they were super easy pull off on this board. She had tons of fun doing tricks that took way more effort on a flat base. That butter lip is the bomb and after some getting use to is just a blast to ride. So now for the only thing she didn’t like. She found it difficult to free carve, the board was a bit to soft to keep up with me in morning corduroy my ancient super stiff K2 Stencil. She also had some issues traversing hard packed icy off camber cat tracks on her heel side. At one point she just popped it off and walked. Honestly I don’t know if that was really an issue with the board, or her binding set up. Like all things choosing a board is a compromise, there is no one single deck that can do all things well. It’s either going to be great in powder and shite in the park. It’s either going to be buttery and easy to do flat land tricks or carve lines down 55° slopes with confidence. Our takeaway on the Homebrew is it’s a fun all mountain board that can handle an east coast powder day and be a blast throwing town flat land spins. It’s fun very light weight and nimble, soft enough to hit the park but stiff enough to pilot through the trees. If you see the world through the lens of a street skater and want to pull off buttery smooth grinds and flat land tricks you everywhere then this is the board for you.

I found this Company by accident and it was the accident find ever. I ended up doing a demo day and waited patiently for them to create wide boards for my Sasquatch foot. Me, my kids, some other family and friends are a part of the GILSON family now. Great company and they have an amazing following. Look forward to the new products every year!!!! UPDATE: I just purchased the new Bounty Hunter and I’m so stoked to be a part of it. Plus I decided to go back to a flat base board again. I picked it up in person at the plant, the new place is amazing and definitely worth the trip. Upon review, the board looks amazing and the details in the design are sharp. I LOVE my Gilson board. First off, the designs of these boards are incredible. You won’t find amazing dope designs anywhere like what Gilson has to offer. 2nd, the way the board rides butters so nice. Got myself a new snowboard this season and boy did these guys make my wishes come true! I wanted and needed a new board that fit my riding style so I reached out via email with all my details and Andrew responded quickly and with just as much excitement as I had! I went with a custom design because well..... I am extra! Andrew set me up with a designer, Alex, and two weeks later I had an approved deign in production. The Gilson team is so easy, friendly and awesome to work with. My new Hybrid All Mountain board arrived I was screaming in excitement and I hit the slopes. The board was dramatically different from my old V-Rocker Burton in all the best ways possible! Carving is like floating on a cloud with the 3D bottom and the hybrid chamber gave me that medium ground flexibility (which was perfect since I coming from an overly flexible board). Huge thank you to Andrew, Alex and the rest of the Gilson team for getting me set up on a wicked cool board that I feel safe, comfortable and can finally enjoy riding on again!

I have been riding Gilson snowboards since 2016. Their customer service, quality craftsmanship and friendly attitude are what keep me coming back. Not to mention their boards are just flat out fun to ride! Buttering is easier with the soft edge and tilting just a little further than normal engages the metal edge. The first time I went to their factory they gave me a freshly waxed demo board to take for the weekend to my favorite resort! Pretty awesome if you ask me! This company genuinely wants you to enjoy your time on the mountain and their catch free design of the soft edge helps you do that.

I absolutely love my board from Gilson. The unique edges take some getting used to, but once you figure it out, I feel they are superior to regular edges, except in icy or very hard packed conditions. This board rides good butters, boxes, rails, and floats through power almost as good as my full power board. One of the most interesting things I have noted is that I used to hate moguls, but for some reason this board's edges and softness have been perfect on moguls, and I now love to do moguls and tree runs on this board. I have 5 other boards from other manufacturers, and almost never use any of those anymore, unless it is very icy or deep powder.

I bought a starter board from Gilson in 2020 and loved it. Then bought 14 more boards and skis as part of a corporate event. Finally bought my most recent board from Gilson six months ago. At all stages of each process, Gilson provided an exceptional amount of personal touch and customer care. The gear itself is super high quality and the art is so creative. I get complimented on my board art at least a few times per day when I'm on the mountain. I also just like being a part of an American manufacturing story, with all their gear being made in their factory in Pennsylvania. I absolutely love my Gilson snowboard. The graphic is beautiful. Buying the board was an even better experience. Nick Gilson called me personally and helped me select my board while providing critical feedback to which board would best support my riding style. He even allowed me to switch the graphic from a different type of board to the current deck I ride on. I received the board promptly and I have absolutely loved it. I love the butter pad on the bottom because it just feels like the board glides better. Waxing it is a little more difficult and time consuming - but other than that I cannot recommend the board highly enough. Thank you Gilson team. I have never had a board this good. This past season I have been riding the gilson bounty hunter Ronin design. This board is very all mountain friendly from long runs to fun park action. Not as flexy as other gilsons I have ridden but still has a powerful pop and great edge control in park and on mountain. I have received a lot of compliments for the design of the board and have enjoyed riding it all season, would definitely recommend. This is my first gilson board and I confidently can say it will not be my last.

Stumbled upon Gilson by accident. Was looking for who offered a board to represent firefighters. Gilson was the only one I found!! Board turned out amazing!! The board is rated highly as an all mountain board. I would say it is more of a powder board. Carving on packed groomers or icy runs seems like it takes over exaggerating your turn to get it to bite and carve. In the deep powder she glides like you are floating on a cloud. Over all so far this has been a good board!

We've bought 3 boards from Gilson since 2020, 2 of the NHL Colorado Avalanche boards (amazing!) and just recently bought our daughter the Undead board so I could steal her Avs one, LOL. The Bounty Hunter is a sweet full camber board, best for people who like to charge steep terrain, variable conditions, and all mountain freestyle. Notably less flex that the Gilson Duel or Undead, but insane pop and good edge hold. I love that it's a true twin as someone who like to throw 180s and ride switch. Also the graphics are so beautiful!

I just recently joined into the Bounty Hunt with this company and am excited to get my Bounty Hunter out on the snow next season! I'll update this after it's first day on the mountain! Thank you to Gilson Snow for the opportunity to be a part of this! UPDATE: I've taken my board out a few times now. It is an absolute pleasure to ride. The 3D edge, I believe, is more beginner friendly and would be a fantastic way to teach someone to board. The turns are much longer and it is not as easy to carve on the 3D base. I am, however, thoroughly impressed by the difference that a few millimeters of edge float makes. I have not caught an edge on my Bounty Hunter, and am proud to say that it is a favorite of mine! I have made it my mission to ride as many types of park skis as I can and when it comes to durability and performance nothing outclassed gilson. Very light and playful while remaining strong and sturdy. Super easy to control and you can rely on them to do everything you want out of your park ski. Definitely my favorite pair of skis I'll be riding them til I'm old. I recently bought one of their snowboards even though I have only snowboarded twice. Super excited to try it out. I started using the bounty hunter and i love it, it is sturdy and responsive, and the 3d base has kept me from catching an edge. gilson is the most awesome team with the best customer support and coolest products! I 10000% recommend getting a board or pair of skis from them to try out! You won’t regret it

I bought 3 Gilson boards last year. I like them that much. The first, I bought just to ride, but the graphics were so sick, I had to get another to hang on the wall. BUT, Gilson has a custom board program. So, I had them make two more custom boards with MY graphics. They didn't make it up on the wall either. They were too much fun riding than just looking at them. I had a great time riding all 3 of them (all different board styles - all mountain, free style, different cambers). I guess they might end up on the wall as art eventually, but probably not. First, the build quality is amazing. I've had Burton, Rossignol, Never Summer and K2 boards. Gilson's boards are every bit is good in terms of quality. Ride style is very different compared to those boards. The edge design on the Gilson board is very specific to allow you to "butter", which is to say not catch an edge when you're doing tricks. The result is the board is surfy, which for me was a new experience. Once I got used to it, it was nothing but fun. I felt on the hard pack I had to work harder to get my turns down, but I could also spin the board more easily. On the softer snow and powder, the surfy feeling was pretty awesome! I highly recommend putting one of Gilson's boards in your rotation. If for no other reason, you will get an endless stream of compliments on the mountain. I have never had so many people compliment my board before. Gilson has, by far, the best graphics of any board I have ever seen.

I absolutely love my gilson duel snowboard. It’s flexible enough to press nicely and stiff enough to have a nice pop off jumps and on to rails. Beautifully designed for powder or park. I actually had no idea about Gilson boards before getting this one and to be completely honest I bought it entirely because of the design. I immediately fell in love with it and got a sweet deal. The artist, TrippyDraws, does some amazing work! I have had a lot of fun on this board. It has helped me be more playful with my riding. Gilson‘s signature zero edge, butter pad or whatever you want to call it always gets a lot of questions and people are either intrigued or put off. It certainly makes it easier to ride a wide board such as the one I have and really it’s just a different way of riding and getting used to when your edge engages. The only time it gives you an uneasy feeling is on hard pack and ice. You might tend to slide out more than you want to or would otherwise with a traditional edge. The flex and performance of this board have been great!

This year is my 3rd season with Gilson's All Mountain Trippy snowboard. I like it a lot! I keep shredding mostly on the West Coast and both Canadian and US Rockies. I keep getting a lot of compliments about the board, since it has unique, beautiful design. I always keep telling people about Gilson and how happy I am with the board. Gilson is awesome and it’s not just the product. I have been riding for over 20 years local to the Ice coast NY riding mostly VT and NY. I have road just about every brand. Gilson gives you a new edge, especially getting older its super forgiving edges but holds deep in a carve, snappy response and pow channel giving you a surf feel down the mountain. I bought the redline 2 years ago I think now, when I first got it, the top sheet started to delaminate, I reached out to Gilson, they got back to me right away, unfortunately it was the exact time their factory had burned down. They promised as soon as they were up and running again they would reach out and that’s exactly what they did.every conversation with Nick was more than pleasant the warranty is unmatched across the board. I sent some pictures and they submitted an order for a new board standing behind their product. Highly recommend Gilson, weather you have been riding for years or just starting out it’s a fun board to have in the quiver. I’ll be honest I was a little hesitant at first because it’s so different, but because they were looking to give back to us fire fighters I knew I had to give them a shot and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I have been riding with my first Gilson snowboard for the past two years. Regretfully, I have experienced both highs and lows with the latest Gilson technology. Although it is undoubtedly a playful board, it does not carve to my liking. It's difficult to catch an edge, but I would really like to have the control of carving when needed. Maybe it’s due to the new Gilson technology. I do find that when I try to carve pencil lines, I slip a lot. In addition, the top layer of my first season of riding the Gilson board has already begun to peel. Even with my first snowboard that I had for five years, hasn’t even started to peel off. The board isn't horrible overall, but it's not as fantastic as they claimed. Would love to give another Gilson board a shot!

Purchased an Undead board during the holiday sales. Took awhile for production. Shipping was quick once finished. Absolutely beautiful piece of artwork!!! First time on the slopes it was like Velcro to the snow and I wasn't sure what was going on. I took it home and waxed it. Still weird. By the fourth time I tried it finally worked! I talked to the company and they said there was an error in manufacturing and want to fix or replace it! Great company! I highly recommend them! I am a Deaf Snowboard Rider. I’ve been snowboarding for the past 28 years, but had not been in 15 years until I got back into the sport in 2023. I went out to Pennsylvania in 2021 to go to community college for the summer. I fell in love with the state. When I came back to Phoenix, I knew I wanted to get back into snowboarding again, and not miss out anymore. I decided I was ready to get myself a new set of gear! I couldn’t figure out which board to get myself. I went on Google without any plan, and not knowing what I was looking for. I spontaneously typed in “Pennsylvania Ma & Pa Snowboard Shop”. Gilson popped up as a sponsored page. I was doing my own research to see which board would be the one I wanted to ride. As a 5’10” 220lbs and size 12 feet, I need a wide board similar to K2 Fat Bob model. Gilson offers a similar board called, “the Duel”. So I purchased my first real board with Gilson and I was stoked to see that Gilson has a live page with update notifications on the customer’s board progress. I was impressed to see which stage my board was in. This was all few days before the fire happened... Gilson had a big fire which burned their factory down, and I was nervous to know whether my board had survived or not. I need to know whether I would be getting my board in time to go shredding or not. I had already purchased my full gear, AirBnB and lift ticket, and I wanted to be sure I would be getting my board in time to go shredding. I sent emails asking for updates and reminding Gilson that I understood the fire would have prolonged customer services, dealing with insurance claims, answering questions from every directions, etc. It took Gilson a good while to get back to me, and at one point I was ready to ask for my full refund back... Then I did some research to see some additional news about the Gilson fire. I found articles about the Gilson community, family and friends getting together donating and helping get Gilson back on their feet again. As I type this and every time I share this story, I always get goosebumps. I decided to wait long enough to let someone from Gilson to get back at me, and it was Gage who was the first one to get back to me. He was apologetic and thankful that I waited long enough to hear back. He broke the bad news that my board didn’t survive in the fire, and he offered either a full refund or a better deal on their new ‘23 Duel lineup. Because of the community outpouring during the post-fire and reading everyone’s post about Gilson being a family to the community, I wanted to show my love and support for a local business who goes above and beyond making sure their customers are happy with their products. I went with a new board instead. Gage made sure I was getting my new snowboard in time for me to shred on the day of my birthday (Dec 18th). My board arrived on Dec 14th with free stickers. Ever since I’ve become a Gilson customer without writing a review in the first place. Between 2022 and 2023, Gilson reached out to me a couple of times to invite me to join the family to go on a Getaway Trip. I missed out the 1st Getaway. When Gilson invited me for the 2nd time, I decided to go for it, not knowing what to expect... When I came out to Schweitzer, Idaho and met everyone who is part of the Gilson Getaway, everyone made me feel like a family member. Vanessa Venios who is the Gilson event planner and coordinator, did an amazing job making sure I felt included at all times. She and I worked together on breaking down communication barriers. With that being said, Gilson is big on versatility and inclusion. Gilson is an open arms, warm family. Gilson doesn’t single anyone out or make anyone feel like they’re not on a certain level. No matter how good or bad we are at skiing and boarding, Gilson still loves us and makes sure we’re always having a good time no matter what.

These buttery boards are made for groomer days. Lately, deep pow seems to be hard to find. My Gilson Duel has got me excited about snowboarding again. Also, as a 46 year old guy, I can't take the hits from hard crashes anymore. Learning the way of butter is much easier on the body than these 20-30 foot kickers every seems to like nowadays. It's like shifting from wakeboarding to wakesurfing. Similar sport but a whole due skill set that you can work on and challenge yourself with. Also, it's a gorgeous board. Pair it with softer boots and medium stiffness bindings and you'll have a great time.

We have 2 Gilson snowboards. One for each of our teenagers. The younger one learned on a Gilson board and found it very easy to pick up compared to other brands she had rented in the beginning. Our older child got theirs when they were already an advanced snowboarder. They like how easy the board is to maneuver on the slopes in all terrain, including the parks. The boards look great too!

I’m a liftie in vail riding is a part of my job, purchased the gilson undead late in the season last year pretty it’s an all mountain board. It was my first gilson, at first it felt like I was riding loose trucks kind of felt like a noodle at speed. Considering it is a softer flex than all my other boards I wasn’t use to it. After playing around with it for awhile it easily became my favorite board to take out. It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it incredibly well , everything from side hits on a deep powder day to dropping double diamonds like mudslide and highline. This board has yet to let me down even just messing around on catwalks is so much more fun with my gilson.

I purchased a Gilson 2 years ago and it’s by far my favorite board that I have had. I’ve only had it out around 15 times. I previously rode a Ride and K2 and the freestyle rocker from Gilson is way more playful than any other board I’ve used. The butter pad is a lot of fun for playing around outside of the terrain park. I will definitely get another one in the future. Only downside with the flex is I don’t like riding it in icy conditions cause you feel everything in your feet but then again I never really like icy conditions anyway. I also like that they’re a local company as I’m from PA and the cool touches like sending a cutoff from the board with the package when it shipped was awesome.

A few years back Gilson did a collaboration with the thrash metal band Slayer to put the band's extensive album art on their boards. when I saw that I knew that I needed one right then and there. Now what I did not know was that boards are as tough as nails, blending flexibility and rigidity without any compromise to the structural integrity. Gilson also has a wide selection of bindings made from other brands. I had purchased a pair in 2021 as part of a package deal, however, Due to supply chain shortages the color I wanted hadn't shown up at the Gilson factory, So The CEO of the Company Nick Gilson Called me on his personal phone and apologized for the inconvenience. He said that they had other Colors in stock and that he could have them sent to shipping with in an hour. So to conclude, Gilson sells a quality product Built Here in the USA in their factory with Customer service to back that quality.

Great customer service, the board is fun, flexy and all around a good time to ride. At high speeds the board will get a little chattery on hard pack aggressive turns. I would prefer a little less flex. The only other complaint I have is that the top sheet tends to chip along the edges. The board has good pop and floats decent in powder. I am about 230 and 6’4” , I ride the 157 wide hybrid camber. The board is wider than my other wide boards which is great for my size 15 boot. The butter pad is amazing and makes the whole mountain buttery! I would buy this board again, the only thing that would make it better is a little less flex and better top sheet to edge protection. All and all a great board.the.

These guys didnt shrink form the very sarcastic challenge that I threw down in the form of an insult on Facebook when I said something to the effect of "yeah - make a "Slayer Reign in Blood" snowboard for all the guys who couldnt ever learn how to ski" and they replied back with "we'd be happy to put that graphic on a pair of sticks" - next thing you know I had the only pair of Slayer themed "Reign in Blood" skis from Gilson that are all the rage with my headbanging ski buddies. Wish you could leave partial stars. Four is a little low. The board spent very little time in the shipping process ..very quick. The board itself feels well made. Love the design. I've only managed one day on it (Snowshoe in WV), and it is indeed different from other boards I've ridden. Very loose and playful, almost to a fault at times. It definitely seems to favor riding on the elevated section of the base (I call it the plateau). Once on edge though, it's there. I definitely want more time on it to get used to it. I don't regret adding it to the quiver.

I would like to start my review by thanking the entire Gilson team for their dedication and personal attentiveness to every detail that went into the construction of my board. I came across Gilson back and 2014 and being from Pennsylvania, I thought it was awesome that a small business was starting up in a niche sport with a groundbreaking idea. From there I reached out the Nick Gilson who was such a friendly knowledgeable person when it came to the entire company and what they were trying to do. From visiting the snowboard farm where I received a tour around the shop, and lands that lead back to the creek, to even grabbing a beer in their house and just chatting about boarding. Amazing technology being crafted in such a small unknown town in Pennsylvania. I can't wait to see the progression of not only the company but the boards and skis. In an over saturated board market their concentrated specific line of 4 core profiles centers around he idea that you don't need hundreds of boards to reach a vast audience. All you need is the craftsmanship and dedication to push the limits of what is possible for snowboarding and skiing, and then following through with it. They do this to a T while at the same time allowing you to customize your top sheet and base without losing the quality that you deserve. They are some of the most humble and professional group of people I have met in a long time. Looking forward to future dealings with the team and would recommend this snowboard brand to everyone I meet. Hey all, I can not say enough good things about Gilson Snow, but we’ll start here. Found out about Gilson through word of mouth and advertising a while back. Didn’t realize they’re a Pennsylvania based company (local to me). I purchased the Pioneer (snowboard) for myself and the Wildlands (skis) for my daughter. We both love our purchase. Later, I would acquire The Undead (snowboard). Since I don’t live far from the factory, I opted to pick up my purchases. Got to meet some of The Gilson Crew and took a tour of their facility. Pretty cool experience and really awesome people on the crew. Had an issue with the Pioneer which led me to The Undead, which is a hybrid camber. This was a game changer for me. When coming out of a carve there is a lot of built up energy which could be put into a trick or laid back into your next turn. The soft edges used in Gilson’s products work very well making the board more versatile. Gilson Snow backs their products 100%. From the snowboards and skis to their great line of apparel all of which I have personally experienced. Great people, great products, enough said.

I emailed Gilson asking if they provided Prodeals for shops to purchase gear at a discounted price late on a Monday evening, not expecting a response for a day or so. To my delight, I received a response within moments, and while they did not offer such a deal, I had forgotten it was cyber Monday, so most boards were on sale! I spoke with Andrew and he had given a quote for the board I was interested in, a custom NHL Vancouver Canucks board! He had also given me a little back story as to Gilsons history, including the recent fire which leveled their shop. The guys at Gilson literally got everything back up and running for a custom Fly powder deck and rushed shipping just to get it to me right before a 5ft storm! Board reminds me of surfing growing up in SoCal, super surfy and honestly one of the most fun boards I’ve ever ridden! I got onto my first Gilson from a recommendation from a friend after ripping the rail out of a Burton board. Gilson’s are so durable and fun to ride it’s stupid! My Duel is on its 4th 100 day season and it’s still going strong! Their customer support to help me choose the right board was 100% on-point, couldn't have chosen a better fit for the ride I want. And when it was actually put to the test, I was blown away. I like to ride trees, steep stuff, and bumps, and the contour that was recommended completely enhances my ride every way possible. For this type of riding, I wanted to make sure I had a board that could handle speed and hard turns on steep terrain, but also wanted the flexibility to have some playfulness. I was told the freestyle hybrid camber would cover it all and they were absolutely correct. Rides like a dream - I love the playfulness of the flex and the butterpad lets you glide seamlessly, and the hybrid camber is perfect for riding anything. I had the most wonderful experience buying my Gilson Trippy Limited board. My best friend bought the Galaxy one and I loved it but when I decided I had to have the Trippy board. I got the delivery within a few days which was super fast especially for NJ. I called and spoke to Gage who was really awesome and helped me understand all I needed to know about the board and the best fit. I hadn't received the shipping label for the return so I called and spoke to Nick and he was just the best. His energy and willingness to help get me a new board. I rode my Gilson Duel through the 2019-2020 season going into the next season and it is my favorite board. The soft edge is so nice, I rarely ever catch an edge, the board is super flexible and has an amazing pop, so doing butters is an absolute breeze. You can ride this board on almost all snow from hard pack to powder it's just amazing. I would rate higher if I could.

I wanted to wait until I’d put a good amount of time on this board before writing a review. This thing is amazing! But before I get to that, the customer service from Gilson is incredible. I’ve been snowboarding for about 20 years but I had some questions about their tech before ordering. I sent the number listed on the website a text and within an hour, the owner, Nick, called me back. That alone was different. Obviously that wouldn’t ever happen with one of the bigger companies. We talked boards and riding for a while and when I hung up, I knew I had to buy a board from them; I ordered it the next day. From there, as they custom built my Duel, I got emailed updates of the process and when it arrived there was a handwritten note on a piece of wood that the core of my board was cut from. Awesome. As far as the board itself, the graphics are beautiful and it is extremely well made. I have heard they have an incredible warranty policy, longest in the industry, but I hope to never have to use it. It does ride slightly different than a normal board due to the soft edges, but that was one of my major selling points and why I’ve been interested in the company for years. After a couple hours on it, I felt total comfortable and normal, other than no longer really having to worry about catching my edge on a rail anymore. It’s great because I used to have to file my edges for jibbing, but with the way this board is built, you can keep your edges sharp and still not really stress about catching an edge. Although when you’re carving, the edges are right there to bite into the snow when you need them. I definitely feel 100% in control on my Gilson. It’s quite soft, which is exactly what I wanted. It makes presses and butters so much fun. Nick directed me to get the 149cm, which seemed crazy to me because I’m 6’1” with size 12 feet. I’ve always ridden my boards smaller at about a 155, but he insisted this would be the size for me. Despite my being nervous about it, I trusted him and I’m glad I did. It hasn’t once felt too small for me no matter what I’m riding. And I’m used to having toe drag on pretty much any board I ride, even a mid wide, but I don’t really have any on this! I ride at 15 and -15 and I haven’t ever once felt any toe or heel drag. I ride everything with this board. I spend most my time in the park and it’s incredible on rails, but even hitting 40+ foot jumps that are super poppy I still feel really in control and stable on the landing. It does great on the groomers and is super fun to butter around and it even handles fine in the powder I’ve found so far with it. I feel like Nick and the group behind the boards are a family and really care and want to take care of their customers. You aren’t just a number and your board is built for you. There aren’t many companies left out there giving this kind of service. I’ve ridden just about every brand of board on the market and I don’t see why I’ll ever step onto one again now. This board rips. If you’re on the fence about one, just buy it, you absolutely won’t regret it.

I wish I could rate customer service 10 out of 5! Nick is a rockstar. To start, I enjoy supporting small American companies. I did a lot of research online, and found that most boards made in the US are way out of my price range. I stumbled on Gilson, and was happily surprised that their boards are reasonably priced (not much more than a Burton or other mainstream board) and sustainably hand made by Americans getting paid American wages. I called the shop a few times before I made my selection just to make sure I knew I was making the right choice. I found my board on the closeout section, and had it on my doorstep in 7 days (since the board was already made, they sent it out the next morning after purchase). I am SO happy with my my new board! It looks far better in person than in pictures, and I get compliments on it all the time. I have a PDX All Mountain, 150 cm (I'm 5'8), beginner/intermediate level, and this is such a fun, smooth ride. I agree with the description on the website, it is definitely poppy, great for carving, and thrives in fresh pow. Soft edges rock! They slash right through ice and fresh powder and have a strong grip. I can see myself using this beauty for many years to come, and will definitely be purchasing any future boards through Gilson!

The main reason I purchased my new snowboard from Gilson was they had a limited edition Penn State Board that I had to have. I was familiar with Gilson prior to making my purchase since I grew up close to where they are located but I never tested or used any of their equipment. I Finally got on it a couple weeks ago and my first reaction was... holy SH$T this thing it FAST!! The soft edge makes you have to work a bit harder to grab when conditions are icy but after a couple runs I adjusted. The "Chatter" the board makes sounds very unique due to the POW channel too. All in all, I could not be more happy with my purchase. The board arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Also loved being able to support a small business! I'd give them 10 Stars if i could!

Where do I start.... Gilson boards have become a way of life around my house. I was looking to get a custom board and this little shop in PA came up in my search. Well now 10 boards later (not because of any issues I just keep getting more and more) they have become part of my family. My nephew who's new to boarding got a sweet ride for xmas and started crying when he saw that all the guys signed it. Both of my friends that I Hve let borrow boards are buying them. So far we are a family of 3 Gilson boards one for me a Pioneer and 1 for my wife a Pioneer. And a board for our kids. We all love riding our gilson's. my kids usually argue over who gets to use the gilson when we go up to the mountain. Luckily I work on the mountain so we go up quite often. So in 2016, 3 years after I met them on their grassroots tour to get funding, I hit them up about a custom deck. Not only did they honor the discount that had expired, but they invited me down to PA for friendsgiving, house me for three days, and guided me through putting my own deck together. Got me the Gilson 'Undead' board but with the 'Nirvana' design. Huge thanks to the Gilson great customer service! Only been able to take it out once so far, but absolutely fell inlove. Took it all over the mountain, from 18" of powder to ice. So much play, but aggressive when you need it. Extremely fun board! The Gilson brand is becoming my favorite brand, not only due to the butter pads and soft edges of their boards, but also because they have gone out of their way to keep me riding. As for the boards, I rode a few hard laps on the Rover, and the tip of the board caught an edge and immediately ripped apart but it repaired nicely; a week later, the core busted as I stomped a jump and ripped the whole binding off with the bottom of screws and all. Fortunately, Gilson sent me the Undead and I ordered in a wide and let me tell you, if you are not ready for the most versatile board that you can take anywhere on the mountain, stick to the skinnier and more manageable boards, because this board rips and made me look like a rookie until I figured out how to properly set my bindings and posture so I could tame it. Now, I love this board, the width plus the easy flex and the hybrid camber style makes for some of the most fun all mountain freestyle type of riding that I’ve ever done. I am 5’11 175lbs with a sz12 boot and once felt completely out of control standing on 271mm width, but now I feel in control at ease. I do not recommend the Undead for beginner riders and use in the park, however, I do recommend this board for anyone looking to take it into all of gnarnia.

I ordered the Undead at the beginning of the season and suffice to say that it is the best board I've ever ridden! it is SO easy to ride and it is very "playful" . Hitting rails and jumps in the park is done with ease and you can still lock in those edges for carving up the groomers! Also, the customer service was fantastic! Along with the board, I also ordered as shirt which ended up being too small. I requested to return it and get a hat instead and they didn't miss a beat with the exchange. I will most likely be a customer for life. :)

I ordered a Gilson Duel 155 last season. When I first went to ride it, it seemed to have friction on the snow. I contacted Andrew at Gilson and he was really helpful. He told me exactly what needed to be done to correct the base finish and offered to pay for it. I had a shop do exactly what he recommended. WOW, when I took it out after that I immediately fell in love with it. I have been riding for 22 years now, have many boards and it is my all time favorite. It's agile enough to use in the terrain park, glades, traverses between pow stashes, etc. I can't wait to get another Gilson! This team really cares about their customers. No joke, I probably called them 10 times and exchanged 20+ emails with Nick over 6 months because I wasn't sure if I wanted to pull the trigger on the FLY since it was the first board I would've bought from them, but also their most expensive option. It took so long for me to buy that they actually changed the board art (which looks awesome, btw). Since I really wanted the old look and liked the new design, they actually combined this years art with last years and gave me a sick design. I moved out to Utah for the winter and got 25 days at Snowbird. For those who know it, the mountain gets a ton of powder. I've tried a long list of boards from different brands and nothing compares. Amazing team and even better boards. Seriously fellas, amazing work. I look forward to seeing what comes next... hopefully a split board or maybe a massive powder board (170cm +) *fingers crossed*

After a weekend of riding, I immediately used their special order process to buy a custom designed Duel. Really excited to see the one of a kind finished product! Equally awesome to the tech in this board is the customer service over at Gilson. The Board 3D Base soft edge is as epic as they say it is. It took me 3 turns to get used to it and a full day of riding to realize that I don't really care for a hard edge board anymore. One reason is all the confidence it give you for rails but the other thing that is not said is there are times while riding that you get a little tired and your knees aren't bent and you're not listening to your music anymore and you stand up and you would normally catch your heel Edge and dump yourself on your head with the soft Edge instead of it catching it let's your foot float backwards. The flex is amazing if anyone wants me to post a video just let me know and I'll strap in and show you how well it flexes. Rode my new duel on the ice coast yesterday at cataloochee ski area. After the first ride, the butter pad and soft edge was very intuitive, the board has great flex and I always felt in control. The duel has a lot of pop on features and caught me off guard a couple times as compared to my early rise tip and tail rocker board. Very impressed and can't wait to ride it more and learn to butter it better. Thanks Gilson for answering all my questions before purchase as there wasn't any chance of me being able to demo one. Don't regret my purchase at all!

I had the amazing opportunity to tour this incredible companies facility yesterday and needless to say, not only are the people incredible, the product surpasses any expectation that I had. I first saw this company on a tv special and was super excited that they were local, so I called up the next day and spoke to Austin and he quickly arranged a tour for us. Upon arriving at Gilson, from the moment we walked through the door we were treated like friends and not customers, during the tour Austin was so excited to tell us about the Gilson product and show us how each board or set of skis come together. I can honestly say as we were going room to room learning about the different steps it takes to complete a Gilson board or skis, it was fascinating! They put so much love and hand detail into every Gilson product, its just absolutely amazing. At the end of our tour I surprised my husband with Austins help!, with a new Gilson Duel board, we took it come that night and it was on the mountain shortly after! My husband is an experienced rider, having ridden for over 16 years, and he was taken back by the technology that this board had, the soft edges have the board an amazing surfy feel on the snow and allowed him to do some amazing buttery presses in the park as well as it just hammered it all across the mountain at our home mountain Ski Roundtop. We were stopped by about 10 other riders who wanted to see this board and a few wanted to try it out lol! I myself then took the board for a spin, and I am a beginner snowboarder and I can honestly say that learning my toe turns has been incredibly hard for me...up until this board, and these soft edges! When I road this board last night, with those soft edges, initiating my turns was so effortless and smooth, that I decided I needed one of these boards myself! I am so grateful to have some across this company, the amazing people in it, and the Gilson products! I can honestly say that I have never ridden a better board, and to know that I am supporting a local company, with not only an AMAZING product, but also amazing people, I'm happy to call Gilson my new snowboard home. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome, and for putting your hearts in to this company, and your products, you are all amazing! Just got my Gilson Pioneer board and got to start riding it. It's been excellent. I've been riding a Gnu Riders Choice and went with a 160cm Pioneer to give me all mount ability. The soft edge was interesting to get used to but once you do you can get some deep carves. Edges came nice and sharp but I tried riding it without a wax first and it was slow going. After a wax this board has been great. I keep finding myself going for a turn and realizing I have a lot more space now. I really love this board and have been letting friends give it a few goes as well to all smiles of happiness. When people feel the bottom of the board they definitely want to try it. Gilson got my board in FAST too. After all off-season staring at it I got it within a week!

I have owned alot of snowboards so far in my boarding career and last season I added the Gilson Dual to my assortment...and my Gilson is most definitely in my top favorites. I've taken my Dual to plenty of mountains and rode through different conditions and it has always held it's own. Super flexy and playful board to ride in general, but I've also managed to carve steep moguls easily on it. I get asked about it everywhere I go. The company itself is great, as well. I talked to Nicholas before I got my board and he was extremely helpful with all my questions. Thank you guys for making a board I've had a blast on so far, you rock!

Best ride ever! As a shredder based in the hard pack ice and nonsense of Western, PA, the first time I rode a Gilson, I felt like I was riding on powder. No matter what the conditions, this board is fun and easy to ride. I'm an older lady so I don't do the parks but when I do decide to go hit some baby jumps, my Gilson is my goto board (Evolution--but just ordered myself a custom Glacier for the upcoming season--can't wait to get it!). I ride with skiers and I like that my Gilson is a bit shorter than my other boards as I do get caught in mogul fields chasing my friends and this board is so easy to control. If you've never tried one, give yourself 3 runs. The first one is "what in the world?", the second run is "yeah, baby" and after that is "woo hoo!!'. In addition to the boards being so much fun, the staff at Gilson is the best...super friendly and always available to answer questions. And they throw a huge party in the summer time and give tours of the facility and have free beer and bands going all afternoon (worth the schlep to the middle of PA).

I have over 20 snowboards, but there are only 2 I ride regularly, a dedicated powder board, and my Gilson. The soft edge technology makes for a forgiving ride, it's a more surfy feel that makes riding fun. The edge is there when you need it, and the 3d base keeps it off rails, jibs, and ice for a forgiving hang up free ride. Board is light weight, fun to ride, looks awesome, and had tons of pop - rides great in all conditions, but really outperforms other boards in slushy conditions and hard-pack. I bought it untested and unridden and I don't regret that decision at all. Going on season 3 on this board and loving it. Only thing i dislike is scraping off wax, but I feel the same way with a flat base. Find a demo day on their tour, get there early, ride a board, you won't regret it.

I have a gilson dual. This board is the direct definition of what it's like to be an american. It's a fun flexable board with a great amoint pop when you need it. This board like america has a forgiving side when hitting the rails and jumps with its soft edge tech giving you vast amounts of freedom and confidence. when you get into it the true edge the board grabs and changes directions like a bald eagles tallons grabbing it's prey. Every time I ride my gilson dual.i stand in front of a mirror and recite the oath of enslitment. This board screms down the slopes like the furious cry of a f22 raptor breaking the sound barrier. I love my dual and I love the gilson company with thier all American product way to go gilson. General Mattis would be proud. I salute you the great people of gilson.

GILSON changed my boarding experience drastically when I got to demo one. It is like no other board I had demoed before. If you are looking for a smooth, well crafted, and durable board that can take on anything the mountains throw at it, look no further than Gilson. I have never owned a board that glides over the terrain like my Gilson Duel. The newly engineered butter pad works wonders on both the parks and all mountain. I found out about Gilson snowboards one morning while looking through Facebook. I usually don't pay to much attention to marketing adds but something caught my eye. I decided to do a little more resurch because I was not quite in love with my current snowboard and the way it rides in my local snow conditions. Being from lower michigan and snowboarding 3 to 4 times a week you need to find a shred stick that can hold up to some poor icy packed powder park days and also travel to the power slopes of the wild west and still perform. When my Gilson arived on my door step it was straight to the hill. It took me all of 10 feet to figure out that the regular camber and the raised base with a powderr channel was the best for an all around park AND big mountain board. I will recommend this board company to everyone and the pricing is extremely reasonable companies to other main street company's. I love my Gilson snowboards and I'm going to be a customer for life.

Just received my duel in the mail about three weeks ago can’t wait to ride it this season. I’ve been itching to ride it ever since I got it. I first found Gilson snowboards on an ad on Instagram and their products really caught my eye. I ordered this board because I wanted to improve my freestyle riding. I’ve heard numerous good things about the company from people I’ve met on the slopes that had a gilson of their own. None of them had a bad thing to say about the company or boards. Living about an hour away from the Gilson farm I decided I would stick with my Pennsylvania roots and purchase a board that was made in my home state! Costomer service at Gilson is beyond incredible. When I received my board they had sent me a piece of the wood that they used when making my board and It had a message on it that said “The time for butters is near, may snow find you well this season!”. This just goes to show that their company goes above and beyond for that extra customer satisfaction. I am so stoked that I made the decision to pick up a Gilson for this upcoming season, definatly will be making purchases with this awesome brand in the future! KEEP IT STOKED!!!

Bought myself a Pioneer this year after seeing a review of the board online (and then some new bindings and boots, because, you know). My first ride on the new board was... difficult, and surprising. Trixie. The closest ski field to where I live is known to be very icy and I struggled with the soft edge - either overcompensating or not going far enough - in the conditions. I started to wonder if I had made the right choice by the end of that day, ass hurting and more than a little demoralised. However! Day two arrives, blue bird after some powder over night. First run down and I was blown away at how good the board handled in the softer conditions. It was simply amazing. On the soft stuff the edge doesn't catch, the board is unbelievably stable. So good! Day three was the same; spend the day thinking: OMFG HOW GOOD IS THIS BOARD! I've thought that for every other day on the mountain riding that absolute work of art of a board. It is so good I've had 7 bluebird days in a row now; even the weather thinks its amazing! Long way of saying: glorious on soft snow, stabs you in the back with a mountain on ice. You should get one.

Awesome board, I received my board on a week that us Australians don't see very often. 100cm of snow over 5 days. I have always been one to give stuff a crack and the Gilson didn't let me down. I have the pioneer and the board handled superbly. The feeling underfoot was so responsive and stable. Not saying that it was love at first sight, however she is defiantly a keeper. The more I rode the better I understood. During my first couple of days I was in contact with the factory and they were extremely supportive and helpful. I made changes to my binding position and angle as suggested by Nate and all the early concerns were washed away. Great board great company. Thanks very much Gilson.

A little under a year ago I saw an advertisement on Instagram. This ad was for a new and improved modification to the previous 2-Dimensional conventional snowboards. I decided to take a leap of faith and figure out what all the hype was about. I later encountered one of the best years of snowboarding I have had in many and this (Gilson Dual Park Board) took my already "ok" riding to an exponential progression like never before. I was landing tricks, attempting more aggressive riding and featuring a level of confidence I had never associated with my riding style. Upon later understanding of what the board was capable of, and what I was now capable of, I called the company and spoke to Nicholas himself. I also love how versatile the board is, with the soft edge I can go to the park and hit rails and jibs without having to file my edges, then immediately go to slopes and still have an edge to carve with. I was even happier with my choice to ride a Gilson after I called to get an update on my board and actaully got to talk to Nick Gilson on the phone. He was so helpful and nice and you could really tell that he cares about his customers and keeping them happy. I will never buy anything except a Gilson again, I can't say enough good things about the company and the boards themselves.

I went down to PA from VT in November of '16 to put together my own custom board. What I found upon arrival was some of the raddest people I have met to date. People like Danny, Austin, John, Hannah, Steve, the owner Nick, and my board artist Ryan (just to name a few) are what make this industry great. They put me up for 3 days and 3 nights. Fed me. Showed me some really cool and exclusive products and allowed me to have my fingers on almost every step of the way in the creation of my board. That is just the people there. The board itself, my 152 Duel, kills the notorious Eastern slopes. On a icy day, Gilson hands down. On a fast day, Gilson hands down. Everyday, Gilson. Hands. Down. Faster, better, stronger. Gilson Snow is the way to go.

I'm extremely happy with my Gilson dual. The flex is amazing and gives you so much control. The soft edge makes the board so fun and playful you can butter with ease. And the board looks great too. I had a great experience buying this board. You call and you talk to the owner Nick. He sets you up!!! GREAT TEAM. I see more Gilson snowboards In My future...
